Bio

Originally from North Carolina, Kellyn Thornburg holds her BFA in Contemporary Dance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She has had the honor to perform works by Merce Cunningham, Lucinda Childs, Ohad Naharin, Lar Lubovitch, Shen Wei, Kimberly Bartosik, Helen Simoneau. Since moving to New York City in 2015, she has worked as an rehearsal assistant with Twyla Tharp Dance Company, and danced for John Selya, Aaron McGloin Dance, Melder Movement, Awakening Movement, and Linked Dance Theater. Her choreography has been featured in Awakening Movement's 2016 and 2017 Fall Concerts. In addition to freelancing dancing and choreographing, Kellyn works with the Salvation Army as a resident teacher and choreographer in after-school programs across the state of NY.
